Nighthawk

Ok extremely frustrating. I can’t get into my app that I have been automatically signed into. Now it wants an admin password and when I try to reset it, it says my security question answers are not correct. It already double verifies so how the heck do I get into this router? Now my business computer can’t find my print that’s directly hooked into the router and I can’t get into the router app to check anything

  • There's a bug with netgear routers. If you didn't setup the security questions, it still asks them (even though there isn't correct answers) and won't allow a correct answer because there isn't one. If you didn't set them up, it shouldn't even give you the option but it does.

Try logging on through your computer browser. sometimes this works versus the app. I'm not a huge fan of using the apps but many are.

The defailt login is admin and default password is password.

If you can't log in through the browser, didn't setup security questions, and changed it from the default login during setup, your only option to get into the router is to factory reset it and start back fresh.

And after you have done that, either disable password recovery (and write down the new password that you set somewhere safe) or set up password recovery by dealing with the questions.
