Parental Controls don't block YouTube App
If I use a web browser on iOs devices, youtube is blocked. If I use the youtube app, it is NOT blocked. I don't even see any indication of it coming through my logs. How can I fix this?

Hi algerclan,
As it stands, the LPC (Live Parental Control) feature of your NETGEAR device will only work with browsers and do not include applications. This is how OpenDNS handles the filtering.

Not trying to block the app itself. The app can open up and open up all links on youtube even when OpenDNS has video sharing blocked. Parents need to be aware that Open DNS is not working for the current apps in use on iOs devices. I had no idea that if I blocked video sharing it would not block and videos in specific apps.

blacklist these sites:
- googlevideo.com
- l.google.com
- youtube.com

That's great if you want youtube blocked for everyone at ALL times. I have quite a large blacklist.
But, if you want to block youtube at certain hours of the day and have special bypass settings for others using OpenDNS, blacklisting the site with keywords won't work.
