playstore permissions

The mobil app updated so when I went to connect to my router thru the nighthawk app to check for firmware updates, it says that you have to have google play store have access (permissoion) to my phone! What does the permissions of another app have to do with my nighthawk app????????? I will never give that permission to google play store access to my phone!

  • dont know how to edit my topic so Ill answer. I gave the playstore permission to access phone, got on the nighthawk app, denied google play store permission to my phone. Signed off on the nighthawk app then reconnected to make sure it works with playstore permission off. It worked. This may be my last netgear product that I buy cause they are tight with google.
