R6400v2 admin password doesn’t work

Admin password was password, now it doesn’t work. I’ve followed instructions to reset, still unable to log in. Reset router, power reset, still unable to log in.

 

wifi does work, just unable to log into totter.

    Are you trying to log in through a browser or through the app? 

    you do need to make sure its not capitalized. 

    default login: admin

    default password: password

     

    no spaces, all lower case. 

     

    after the reset, try a different pc/laptop and/or browser

      Thanks for the reply.

       

      I've tried the nighthawk app, google chrome, Microsoft edge, and safari with no luck.

      I've reset the router, pushed the factory reset, etc.

      Using admin and password - all lower case with no spaces.

      resetting the password gives me a new password of @newgid

      That does not work either - seems I'm just going around in a circle

      wifi is working as I can connect and use the internet, etc.

        Have you tried a 30/30/30 reset? 
        1. push and hold reset for 30 seconds while powered on

        2. unplug it while still holding reset and leave it off for 30 seconds

        3. plug it back in while still holding reset and continue to hold it for 30 seconds. 

         

        that should clear out all settings and get it back to default. 

        You're only other option would be to try a tftp/nmrpflash recovery.
