R7000 Disney Circle controls bypassed with VPN App
I purchased the Nighthawk R7000 router so I could enable Disney Cicle Parenal Controls. I have figured out that my teenager has quickly found a way to circumvent the controls by using a VPN app. He gets around the all the controls, time limits, etc. Any recommendation on how to resolve this without disconnecting the internet entirely?

1) If you can figure out which port the VPN is using, you can try specifically blocking that port on the router. This solution is probably the most targeted to what you're looking for.
2) You could block all router activity in the Security --> Schedule tab in the router settings. This might make sense if you want to prevent your teenager from using the internet while you're sleeping, for example.
3) You could set settings or install software on each device to restrict network activity, installation of apps, etc. Basically, take away his administrative rights on the devices. Not a router solution, but pretty easy to implement.
4) If you're more concerned with the content he's viewing rather than the schedule, you can try blocking sites with particular keywords that you know are primarily associated with objectionable content (Settings --> Block Sites).
