R7850
I had extensive difficulty installing and opening apps on my phone with this Nighthawk router. It seems to block the process. Went somewhere else and used another wifi. no problem.
Maybe because I have Bitdefender shield activated or the VPN on?
Anyone else had this problem?
Protection is great, but when it interferes with routine operations, it's a problem.

Could not do what? Install the app? Open the app? Use the app?
The router has nothing to do with installing the app. Nothing gets installed on the router, to the extent that you can install the app when you are nowhere ear your router.
Perhaps you could explain what you are doing and where it goes wrong.
Given the confusing (at my end) description, I wonder if you are seeing yet another example of this:

These things happen after the installation when people try to use the app.
