R7960P 2.4ghz slow
I recently upgraded internet speed to 400mbps from 100mbps. Immediately had great results with 5ghz reaching 400+speeds. However 2.4ghz actually became slower than before I upgraded. Speedtest.net...
2.4ghz is a slow network.
what speeds were you getting before?
Have you tried changing wireless channels in case there's interference?
I was getting around 75-90mbps when I had 100mbps. I tried changing it to 1,6,11 channels with 6 being the best speeds around 65-75 consistently. I have all laptops, mobile devices and tablets, smart TVs and game consoles on 5ghz. All of those receiving 300+ speeds. 2.4 is also set to manage up to 300mbps…not sure if that is relevant.
