Moved to new home. My R7960P was working fine at old home. Now, everyting okay EXCEPT router will not detect internet. I tried a reset and powering router and computer off and on -- no joy. Tried...

That does not tell us what the modem actually is. (Spectrum makes a lot of devices.) But the 192.168.1.1 bit is a clue.
If it is the local IP address of your Spectrum cable modem that suggests that it is actually a modem/router. (Modem-only devices don't usually adopt that address.)
Your R7960P also likes to adopt that IP address. That is a sign that you have two routers on the network.
Two routers on your network can cause headaches. For example, you can end up with local address problems. Among other things, the other router can misdirect addresses that the Netgear router usually handles, such as routerlogin.net or the usual IP address for a router, 192.168.1.1.
This explains some of the other drawbacks.

It may be possible to put the modem/router into modem only (bridge) mode and then to use the second device as the router. Sometimes it is easier to put the second router into AP mode. But that has its own drawbacks:

Thanks for reading and reply.
I am using not just the cable company's modem, but also their router (since I can't get mine up and running). So that may account for the 192.168.1.1
Inasmuch as I was given both a modem and router, I doubt the modem has a router built in.
Spectrum Cable doesn't make it easy to find the model number on their modem and router, but I found this on the modem: ES2251; DOCSIS 3.1eMTA.
I found this on the router: WiFi6 Router; SAX1V1K
I could go on using their modem and router, but I suspect my router is better.

the modem is strictly a modem.
And then you have the SAX1V1K?
so your going:
ES2251-->SAX1V1K---->R7960P
Is that correct?
If so, and you want to stay like that, then put the R7960P in AP mode.
If not, take the SAX out of the equation. power everything off and disconnect everything. Even the coax from the modem.
Factory reset the R7960P (prior to powering it off). Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds.
Wait a couple minutes.
then connect coax back to the ES2251 and power it on.
Give it a couple minutes to boot up all the way.
then connect the EX2251 to the R7960P's wan port.
Power the router up and give it a couple minutes to boot.
Attempt setup on the R7960P
