R8000 - Switch 2.4GHz band completely off

Hi,

finaly I managed to have only AC devices in house and I would like to switch the 2.4 band off.

I unchecked all 2.4 related boxes and now I dont see my 2.4 band on any device, but when opening the Netgear Gennie app on iPhone and iPad, it shows that I'm still connected to 2.4.

The R0000 firmware is V1.0.3.54_1.1.37.

 

What to do?

      Inclusive the password after the Genie iOS app was deleted and reinstalled ???

        Hi Retired_Member,

         

        Please try forgetting the WiFi network (2.4GHz) on your iOS devices and make sure they are connected to the 5GHz network only. Once done, clear the Genie from memory via the multitasking view then re-open the Genie app.
