I installed the latest firware about a month or two ago and I have been having problems that the site can't be reached etc., on all browsers. I tried flushing the DNS and cleaning up history etc., ...

Netgear should let you know to revert back to Previous version and not let people wander to find solutions. It costed me lot more on booking airline tickets as this bug popped and blocked buying tickets at the last minute. I had to try again and pay more expensive tickets for two.

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Check the section in the manual on updating the firmware.
