remote access acount for Genie on R7800

Hi

 

I just bought a new R7800 router. I noticed that I have now the option to create a remote access acount so I can use Genie app on phone or laptop when I am away from home. I followed all the instruction but I can not get the router registered even if the account exist. I get this error message (the registration process failled. Try again). Am I the only one in this position?

    Hi goss1000,

     

    1. What is the firmware version of the router?

    2. What version of NETGEAR Genie do you have installed?

    3. Have you tried using another device (another computer, smartphone, tablet)?

      Firmware is V1.0.2.04.

       
      Netgear genie version is 2.4.26 for windows.
       
      Yes I have tried other devices. I have tried from a Mac laptop and and android phone as explained locally connected to the router.
