With both emails still active, there should be a way to change the email of your MyNetgear address. If you have only one Netgear device (the router here) you can create a new MyNetgear account (guess you already did) and factory reset the router. When I have it right, this does create a new link to the cloud, and login using the new account, and link the device.
Alternate, you have to find a nice Netgear moderator and let them know the old and the new email, so they can assist and merge the account.
