Router not connected

Recently, I have not been able to connect to my nighthawk router R9000 or my NETGEAR extender EX8000 using the nether genie or nighthawk app on my iPhone 6s I also can’t connect using my MacBook Pro with Mojave ver 10.14.1. It says my router is not connected, but if I put in the routers IP address, it will show it is connected and all my devices are connected. I checked for firmware updates, but doesn’t seem to be connecting to NETGEAR server. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. What is the firmware version of the router and the extender?

    2. Have you tried re-installing the apps?

    3. What version of the app/s do you have installed?

    4. Was working before?
