Unable to login with Nighthawk app: "Your router is unreachable."

I can login via a web browser just fine.  My wife can connect via the Nighthawk app on her phone.  But we've both seen the app crash a bunch of times recently while trying to manage profiles in the parental controls.  So I decided to clear cache on the phone app.  I did that and couldn't log back in.  So I uninstalled the Nighthawk app on my phone, reinstalled it, and still can't log back in.  Meanwhile, my wife's app is logged in just fine on her phone.

I'd try resetting the password, but the error message doesn't mention anything about the password being incorrect, and I'm fairly certain I have the right password anyway.

My router firm ware version:
Firmware Version V1.0.16.132_2.0.92

I don't know if that's the latest or not, but I did check for updates (on the router GUI) and it didn't find any updates.

App version (on my phone):
2.43.0.4421

  • I've been seeing a lot of reports lately with people having issues with the app. I haven't seen a good fix for it yet

  • For the last weeks I have encountered a similar issue.
The iPhone app is not letting me log in while I can do it normally on the GUI (desktop).
I cleared the cache, uninstalled/installed the app and the same output.

It keeps telling me that my password/email is wrong, but I'm sure I input the right one cause is the one I use for the GUI.

It is incredible how a corporation that make millions out of us can not do things right.

If anyone has a tip on how to fix this, it will be highly appreciated.

NetGear is horrible! I have the opposite problem: the stupid App on iOS is fine (you can do almost nothing there) but I can't login to my own Router via browser!

I did follow all the steps, did all the tests, to the end to the factory reset. Nothing.

Also re-installed the certificate, I still don't get the Login page.

What a shame of a company! After spending a lot of $, I can't access my ports settings and all the advance settings I need right now.

My other TP-Link is fantastic, no issues, ever. These people instead want us to have problems, so that we buy the Support!

F%^&* that! I would spend money to buy another TP-Link.

Did you see how many people and how many pages are out there just for the login problems?

I just wanted to tell you that you are one of the many.

Good luck to you! The App should be easier, but FYI, you can do very little with the App.

So, this is the wrong place to interrupt someone else's conversation on a different topic. (That is "against the rules".)

If you are here seeking help, you should start your own conversation with more details of your network and what is going wrong.

A good start would be the Netgear device that is causing you grief. What is it?
