I have participated in two Netgear Meural Canvas Betas in the past. Since the last beta, Exhibition, both of my Meural devices have been working flawlessly, until recently.
I have searched and searched the internet, Netgear knowledgebase, and community support. This seems to be an ongoing issue with no real solution and/or answer.
I am unable to contact Netgear support as the support for my newest Meural (Beta unit) has expired.
I have been working closely with my Mesh network support team trying to resolve this.
Who was able to temporarily allow me to control gestures via the app, however, was NOT able to send pictures from my phone app or a cloud-based playlist that I created.
The only thing that has worked is connecting the Canvas and my iPad to my phone hotspot. This allowed me to manage the Canvas and "Server Status" changed to "Online".
I did read one post on the community support page concerning 2.4ghz & 5ghz. Stating both devices, phone/app and the Canvas device needed to be on the same 2.4ghz band. Is this the solution?

Hello Community,

I have tried the following:
- Factory reset.
- Android and iOS app
- removing and adding them again to app/account.
4.Clearing wifi connections and attempting to reconnect.
The on-screen wifi info on the canvas says it's connected to WiFi, but I cannot connect to them (either model) via the app.
What did work:
I connected my iPad and the canvas to my android phone's hotspot. I was able to update Canvas firmware to the latest. However, when trying the original process again, connecting them to my home WiFi, same issue. Even after a factory reset and rebooting my phone and canvas.
Yes, I made sure my phone/iPad were on the same WiFi network as the Canvas.
I have a mesh network that broadcasts 2.4/5ghz simultaneously.
Is this a 2.4ghz/5ghz issue? Please confirm.
