I understand that you are not able to successfully factory reset your Meural Canvas to resolve the black screen issue.
The following steps have been proven to resolve this issue:
- First, Remove your Meural Canvas from your Meural app.
- Then uninstall the Meural App.
- Next, hold down the factory reset button on your Meural Canvas.
- Then disconnect the power adapter for 30 seconds
- Now, plug in the power adapter and wait for the start-up screen.
- Then release the reset button.

I removed the canvas and app from my device. Then went through the reset cycle a few times. The start up screen appears for a while then back to the black screen with no response.

No solution, sadly. I've talked to support a couple of time and each time we eventually get to "sorry, your device is out of warranty". The only option is to purchase a new device, which I would not do after this one died a shortly after a year.
