Meural has stopped uploading

I think this issue is not the app version. I have the latest version and have this issue. It’s caused by Meural cloud no longer supporting the HEIC or HEIF image format Apple use on their iPhone since about a year ago. If you convert the photos to Jpeg or change the iPhone’s settings to default to taking photos in Jpeg then it will work. You can also see this issue when uploading a single photo taken by an iPhone and you then see an error but syncing a whole album doesn’t show an error and just fails to upload any images despite going through the motions. In Meural app you can also take a photo and add send to Meural but this also fails from an iPhone if it defaults to HEIC.
The workarounds are not great at all. HEIC is the Apple default and I don’t want to change this on my Apple ecosystem. Also any shared albums in iCloud from family members would also need to be in Jpeg - you either have to convert yourself or ask the family member to change their iPhone to Jpeg. Not great.
I logged a case ages ago and it’s still being worked on. They said it’s an issue on their cloud and not the app. Every week or so I check my playlists in the Meural app that sync to iCloud albums to see if any of the images have synced - when they do I know it will be resolved. I can add a jpeg image and it syncs so I know the sync function will be regularly trying (and waiting for the fix!).

Having same exact issue. Love the frame, but stopped recommending it to friends due to the Apple sync issue. This should be a relatively simple fix if prioritized.
