If you login to my.meural.com, and go to your profile, and select your country code, then the Meural app will complete login. This worked for me evidently the new software requires the country code be selected.

Just to add to this - I was having the same issue as above (login, endless spinner) and when logging into my.netgear.com I found that my country was already set (and two-factor auth also disabled. However, my first and last name were listed as "undefined" and the address was also empty, and after filling in the name, address, etc., the login in the iOS app worked again.
So it's very possible that entering the profile information, or just updating the profile, is enough to solve the login problems.
