Questions on Meural Photo Frame (MC315)

Great questions that I’d be keen to hear answers to.
I can answer a few and guess at others:
1) the playlist not showing may be one with HEIF (HEIC) images. JPEGS are fine but I have some HEIF shared playlists that won’t sync any images and I have an open support case for this. I think Apple changed their HEIF mid iOS 15 and since then these are not uploading to Meural. Earlier ones are fine. If I convert to JPEG I can upload fine. Also Live Photos may not always upload and there’s a canvas setting for videos and Live Photo’s to play when displayed. Some people have reported quirks with Live Photos. I convert to normal photos in Photos to upload to Meural. I only like dynamic images for NFTs. The other reason for not showing some images is the orientation setting. If you have set to display horizontal only and the playlist has vertical portrait mode images then the canvas only displays the landscape mode images. If you allow portrait mode you get either a cropped to fill being displayed or letter box frame. I’m getting another canvas and will set up specifically for portraits as I don’t like the swivel mount.
2) uploading just adds to your Meural cloud library for future use, scheduling etc. I think “Send to Meural” displays them immediately. If you go to the canvas settings in the app and go to “manage art” you can see what’s uploaded locally versus what playlists are in the Meural cloud. Just having in the Meural cloud doesn’t mean they will display on the canvas. I’ve sent all my playlists to Meural to date and still have loads of storage spare.
3) not that I am aware of. This white transition seems a bit clumsy and could do with refinement to make it more aesthetically pleasing, perhaps options for smoother merging or fading. Let’s add a feature request for this.
4) In your “all uploads” library in the app there’s a tick box top right to allow multiple selections. Then you can send to other playlists. I have some images in multiple playlists based on categories.
5) I favourite the subscription images I like and send to playlists like modern art or classic art and they do eventually display on my canvas when it cycles through the playlists. Otherwise it’s just a placeholder in your Meural library. I don’t think the favourites is a playlist in its own right.
6) I have set a Wake for 7am and a sleep for 10pm repeating every day. The image shown in the morning is either the one that was last shown before going to sleep if there’s display time left for it to complete or the next one and the same playlist sequence or random one if you’ve set that up.
