AX1500 won't connect to internet

AX1500 is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.
The only device that seems to be AX1500 is the "MK6W".

Fibre doesn't mean much. All Internet services have fibre somewhere.
Is this cable Internet, satellite or optical fibre to the premises?
The last of these uses an optical network termination (ONT) that should just connect to the router.

Installation with a wired connection a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI) is preferred by experienced users. The app is dumbed down and not much use if anything goes wrong.

It is the MK6W. The label on the router indicates MR60.
I have an optical fiber connection that terminates in the box on the outside of the house. From there they ran a cable into the house that terminates in a box that is identical to what you would connect a phone line to, but it only has an ethernet port in it.
Previously, I would connect an ethernet cable between that and my router's internet port, and that worked.

That should still work.
Can you try the wired setup?
Have you reset the MR60 before connecting to it?
