Having Issue with MS80 Satellite

I have been having this same issue, and I discovered today. After finding this forum I am thinking it is failing. Wanted to let others know as well. I am swapping with the other satellite and / or run ethernet between the two to see if that helps

I had one satellite that wired and wireless devices on it would occasionally reduce speeds to almost nothing. I found the issue because the hardwired device got internet back before some of the wireless devices did. If I reboot the satellite, it will come back. It will also come back eventually after without a reboot.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between MR 📡 and MS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?

You can only ethernet connect the MS to the MR. Do no ethernet connect the MS to each other if the MS are wirelessly connected to the MR.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

      Hello,

I did not realize I created a new topic. I was replying to another post saying that I encountered the same issue. I am still in testing process.

      Firmware Version is V1.1.7.12

IOT: Calix Giga Point 803G Model No: 100-04255 12

The house is 1400 sq foot one level with a detached 800 square foot garage. Makes the satellite right around 40' between each of them. MR in the middle.

I will check on RBS setting. 2.4 is on CH8 and 5 is on CH36(42).

Yes, this occurs with wired and wireless devices. The wired device got internet back before the wireless did. As soon as I unplugged Satellite and both switch to Wi-Fi on the main internet works right away. I have not had a chance to get in the app to see what it shoes for the link status between MS and MR. I am aware the MS can only be wired to MR.

I have not performed a rest a long time, so I know it has updated since a reset for sure.

Kind of a small home size for having two MS deployed. Does this happen if you turn OFF one of the MS?

What is the distance from the MR to the MS?

        Try channels 1 and 40 or 11 and 48.

I see there is a more newer version of FW as well: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/mk83

Lets try a factory reset as well.
