Can't think this is supported by Netgear - hard to understand considering how difficult it was or still is to buy additional satellites however. Hacks exist in the net however.

iamck I'm curious what the support solution was....
Christian_R How can it be that Netgear is apparently unable to change and officially allow a router->satellite config considering satellite units are not available in the market, too?
- iamckJan 03, 2021GuideSo Netgears response was pathetic.
I have never EVER received such crap customer service from a huge company than I have with Netgear.
They sent me generic “what OS are you using, what is your IP, what colour is your LED” while completely ignoring the question of “can this be made into a satellite”
When I responded saying how ridiculous I thought their scripted responses were and that all I wanted was an answer of was it possible and if so how they then closed the ticket and stopped replying.
This should be an easy answer and an easy fix considering they should be allowed to put a router into access point mode.
I will not be buying another Netgear product.- schumakuJan 03, 2021Guru - Experienced User

The problem is that Support can't provide an answer because there isn't one in any script. Beyond, basic product and network knowledge is below zero in first line "support".

Not difficult to understand why the Netgear CBU customers are disappointed. Christian_R would you please politely carry this forward to the people in charge?
