Mesh MR60 + Satellites: Inconsistent/Poor Connection
Currently paying for 960 Gb uploads, speed test through nighthawk app/router yields between 500/600 Mb up, 50 down. Will go days with no interruptions connected to mesh (speeds of 150-170 Mb up), the...
you mean the modem is in modem only mode?
If so, go to 192.168.100.1
the router side is disabled so its ip address won't work.
If it was me?
I'd go c6900 (router mode)---->MK60 (ap mode)
I'd have the c6900 with its own ssid and on a different channels to prevent interference. Then device close it it could use it for data offloading while the MK system covered the peripheral.
In terms of performance on the MK system, check the base router. You should be able to hit gigabit speeds over a wired connection. And get fairly decent 5gh speeds from it. The satellites won't have the same performance.
I'd take a read through DongKnows review on it as he does a great job doing testing/overviews on setups without being affiliated with any of them. It'll give you some performance numbers of what to expect that I can't because I don't have the system to test with .

What fixes it when it happens?
what modem/gateway is it connected to?
Do wired devices speeds decrease as well or just wireless?

There is no fix as far as I can tell. The modem is a C6900. I recently ran Ethernet to the nearest mesh from my PC and it increased my speed from 120 to 170 but the interruptions persisted. Seems to happen mostly at night but I can’t be sure. ISP has run diagnostics and determined their side is good to go.

So you're going C6900--->MR60---->MS60
What mode is the C6900 in? (modem only or modem/router)
What modem is the MR60 in? (router vs access point)
Is the MS60 hardwired in?
Also, when the speeds decrease, is it only on the satellite or does the router speeds decrease as well? (test the wired connection and wireless. Make sure to test 5ghz and 2.4ghz is a slow network)
C6900 modem is in router mode
MR60 is in router mode (Wireless AP not checked)
-However under Advanced > Router Status > Main Network, Wireless AP is ON
When the speed crashes on my PC, the internet speed test thru the Nighthawk App and the MR60 routerlogin remains 500-600
A couple other things:
In Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections
-The ethernet connection between my office MS60 and PC Speed is listed as 1.0 Gbps
-The wireless connection between my office MS60 and PC speed is listed as 1.2 Gbps
-The internet speed test remains under 200 Mbps
I've been running speed tests all morning and oddly the upload speed is all over the map but the download is stable (albeit much lower than it should be).
A couple things,.
1. you're in a double nat. Either put the C6900 in modem only mode or the MK system in AP mode (what I'd recommend)

2. The MK60 system is only a dual band system. The satellites aren't going to have the same speed as the router because they have to go router----->satellite----->devices and the satellites can't talk to the router and the devices at the same time. Its why the tribands are so popular. they have a band just for the router/satellites to communicate. I rough rule of thumb is test your speed wireless directly off the router. The (rough) best the satellites will get is half of that because of the lack of dedicated backhaul.
so make sure when testing, test the wired speeds off the router and the wireless.
