Mesh MR60 + Satellites: Inconsistent/Poor Connection
Currently paying for 960 Gb uploads, speed test through nighthawk app/router yields between 500/600 Mb up, 50 down. Will go days with no interruptions connected to mesh (speeds of 150-170 Mb up), the...

you mean the modem is in modem only mode?
If so, go to 192.168.100.1
the router side is disabled so its ip address won't work.
If it was me?
I'd go c6900 (router mode)---->MK60 (ap mode)
I'd have the c6900 with its own ssid and on a different channels to prevent interference. Then device close it it could use it for data offloading while the MK system covered the peripheral.
In terms of performance on the MK system, check the base router. You should be able to hit gigabit speeds over a wired connection. And get fairly decent 5gh speeds from it. The satellites won't have the same performance.
I'd take a read through DongKnows review on it as he does a great job doing testing/overviews on setups without being affiliated with any of them. It'll give you some performance numbers of what to expect that I can't because I don't have the system to test with .

- eits1986Aug 02, 2022GuideThanks for the overview link, and for all your help. It looks like I’ve got some studying to do. I ended up having to factory reset both router and modem because i couldn’t access either config anymore. Starting from scratch probably for the best. I will most likely end up having to run cables and get my modem to a better location so the mesh can operate efficiently (the ISP techs refused to help relocate).
Just frustrating to pay for “high speed” but only get to use 10% of it! Again, thank you. - plemansAug 02, 2022Guru - Experienced User
Wifi can be super frustrating because the "specs" are pretty over hyped to start with. Adding in other issues like inteference, obstructions, etc, and it can get bad. But luckily, most devices don't need a whole lot more than 40mbps. Reason why is you can stream 4k with 25-40mbps. So its nice to have extra but most users aren't realizing it.
If you want to read more about wifi misunderstandings, this article is well written (can get a bit in depth) and helpful.

- eits1986Aug 03, 2022Guide***FINAL UPDATE***
Hey man, big thanks again to you. After all the troubleshooting it turns out the C6900 was breathing its last breath. Shut down all the mesh, restored C6900 factory fresh and could not maintain a connection. Exchanged it for a CAX30, followed your advice (Mesh Router > Wireless AP, assign non-overlapping channels on SSIDs for both devices) and I am getting 280 MBps smooth and steady, will eventually run a hardline from the modem to my PC for max speed but this is perfect for now. Appreciate you brother! - plemansAug 03, 2022Guru - Experienced User
Glad you got it fixed!
Sad to see it was the C6900 as its been a pretty problem free modem from my experience on the forums.
