MK62 AP with satellite ethernet backhaul?
I have an existing Netgear Nighthawk router with several other routers that are set to act as APs (so the Nighthawk is the link between my home network and the WAN). I would like to upgrade this setup to use a mesh network (with some devices hard-wired), with the Nighthawk acting as the primary router, and the AP routers swapped out for an MK62 mesh providing WiFi.
I understand that I can set the MK62 to be an Access Point (connecting the LAN port instead of the WAN), so it defers DHCP and other services to another router on the LAN.
My question is can the MK62 satellite also be connected to the same LAN backhaul?
When you'd setup the MK62 in ap mode, you don't need to change the port you plug in. You'd still use wan port.
And the satellites do support wired backhaul.
