MK63 MR60 2xMS60 Wired Backhaul doesn't work for second satellite
I have a FIOS router connected to two unmanaged switches and the MR60 and MS60 connected to the switches. I have static DHCP assignments (192.168.1.8 .9 .10 respectively.
MR60 and MS60 are acting as APs. One MS60 is fine on wired and uses the wired backhaul and works fine. The other one only syncs over wireless. The moment I plug the wirelessly working MS60 to the wired switch, it turns amber. When I look at the status by going to the MS60 IPs, one is green and one is amber with no discernible cause. Both are getting Gigabit speeds but one just cannot seem to connect to the rest of the system even though they're both ping-able and connected when wired.
I've spend a few hours with support and they said "it should work" and never got it to work.
Hoping someone here have some ideas?

Based on the information provided, it seems like you are encountering an issue with the wired backhaul setup involving your network devices. Let's break down the components mentioned:
MK63: This refers to the NETGEAR MK63 Mesh WiFi system, which includes a router and one or more satellite units.
MR60: This is likely a typo or a different model name since it doesn't correspond to a known NETGEAR device. If you meant another model, please provide the correct information for a more accurate response.
2xMS60: This refers to two NETGEAR MS60 satellite units, which are part of the MK63 Mesh WiFi system.
When setting up a wired backhaul for a mesh WiFi system like the MK63, you typically connect the satellite units to the router using Ethernet cables. This allows for a more stable can alcohol contribute to hair loss and reliable connection between the devices.
If the wired backhaul is not working for the second satellite unit, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check cable connections: Ensure that the Ethernet cable connecting the second satellite unit to the router is securely plugged in on both ends. Verify that the cable is not damaged or faulty.
Verify compatibility: Ensure that the router and satellite units support wired backhaul. Refer to the product documentation or contact NETGEAR support to confirm if the MK63 system supports wired backhaul for multiple satellite units.
Update firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your MK63 system. Keeping the devices' firmware up to date can often resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
Factory reset: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can try performing a factory reset on the entire MK63 system. This will reset all settings to default and allow you to set up the devices from scratch, which might help resolve any configuration-related issues.
Contact support: If none of the above steps resolve the problem, it's recommended to reach out to NETGEAR customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on the model and configuration of your devices.
Remember to consult the user manuals or official documentation for your specific devices to ensure the proper setup and troubleshooting steps for your particular situation.............

The MR60 is a very well known Netgear device. Its the router bit of the MK62/3 bundles, which also have two or three MS60 satellites.

What is this FIOS router? Is it a modem router?
Where are the switches in the network?
Router > Switches > MK devices?
Those static IPs are for the thee MK devices?
Satellites in star (both connected to the MR60) or daisychain layout?
One MS60 is fine on wired and uses the wired backhaul and works fine. The other one only syncs over wireless. The moment I plug the wirelessly working MS60 to the wired switch, it turns amber.Same behaviour if you swap the two satellites?

michaelkenward has went over a lot.
the only thing I'll add is if using the wired backhaul you have to make sure you go
modem---->MR60 wan port----mr60lan port----->switches/backhaul to satellites.
I've seen a few think that the wan port will work as wan/lan for the wired backhaul.
The satellites need to connect to the Lan port and not to a switch that is connected to the WAN port.
