Try hardwiring the satellites into the router and syncing them/updating the firmware while hardwired into the router. I've found that can work for some people.

Thanks for the tip.
That's exactly what I did when I successfully updated to v....116.
I hesitate to do another update to v.....122 until I get both MS60's configured with the previous update installed.
The barriers to getting the first one configured with the channels set in the clear manually included:
1. using Chrome browser, with easy history clear
2. directing my Mac, manually to have an internal IP on the NightHawk subnet; rather than its external IP on the ATT gateway/router.
3. changing the admin p/w to conform to changed requirements (CAPITAL letter + special characters.
Now I can access the MR60 on its external IP. And set the channels in both bands to manual and put them where they should be.
I'm not going to bore anyone by listing all the incorrect and bad advice that comes from NetGear and their NightHawk app because you all already know about that.
