MR60 WAP Backhaul
Back during COVID I bought a Nighthawk MR60 +2x MS60 to replace my aging and unsupported (2009) WNDR4500. I only got around to doing the install today :-(
The MR60 is in Wirless Access Point mode, connected via ethernet to a D-link unmanaged switch which is connected to a Quantum Fiber modem(2Gb).
Since the WNDR4500 was also running as a WAP it was straight forward process. I even carried the wifi credentials over.
My house is a SF Ranch style, its 140ft from the front to the back. The MR60 is in the westerly last 1/4. We have a large basement, which is mostly in the easterly 1/2. Previously I used Wifi extenders which were not great to get wifi service in the basement.
and here is my question.
Can I connect the MS60 satellites to the MR60 via ethernet that is connected to the D-Link router?
I don't have time to do a quick test today, but so far the Nighthawk has been great, but MR60/MS60's are just sitting next to each other.

Congratulations on winning "Procrastinator of the Year".
When people have tried connecting other Netgear system in this way, the results have been disappointing. (Perhaps the MR60 product design is different, but......)
It seems that Netgear programmed their mesh products to expect that satellites are connected either using WiFi or using the Ethernet LAN port. Satellites do not connect through the Ethernet WAN port.
The Original Post (OP) did not mention a router. Can we assume that the Quantum Fiber modem is actually a router? (a URL link to a product description would be helpful)
If so, then the MR60 WAN port could be connected to the Quantum Fiber device (bypassing the unmanaged switch) and the MR60 LAN port and the MS60 satellites could be connected to the D-Link unmanaged switch.
