Not sure that I follow what is happening here. Why are you trying to get the Android to find the IP address?
If you want to make a WiFi connection it looks for the SSID.
This bit puzzles me:
the app finds the router and i am able to test my network speed etc..
So the Nighthawk app on the Android device can connect to the WiFi?
Where does the IP address come into any of this?
Take us through what you are doing and where it goers wrong.
