MR80 + 2 MS80 stopped working

Versions are both 1.1.6.14.3.1.101.

I didn’t want to factory reset anything. That was a last resort when satellites would no longer connect to the router. I tried leaving the satellites in the same locations where they had been for months and they wouldn’t connect. So I brought one into the office where the router sits and nothing.

I have BlueStream Fiber (which ends in cable between last node and house) so I have a Motorola 32x8 DocSis 3.1 modem.

I would bring the MS to the same room and the MR and factory reset and setup from scratch while the MS are in same room or near the MR.

  Are you able to sync the MS to the MR while they are in same room as the MR?
  
  Does connecting the MS to the back open port on the MR connect them?
  
  Wondering if you can ge them synced long enough to use w wired PC and web browser and manually re-load FW on the MS using there web pages to load he FW, then do same thing on the MR. Then power OFF the MS and MR for 1 minute then back ON...

    I have not tried hardwiring the MS to the MR. I have tried reloading the latest FW to all 3 boxes to no avail.
    
    What does hardwiring them together do? Does it create a permanent sync where I can then spread them over the house or do I have to keep them physically connected?
