MR80 / MS80 - Can't rename satellites
Hello! I've got a setup consisting of an MR80 router and two MS80 satellites. All devices are updated to firmware V1.1.7.12. The satellites are currently named Satellite-1 and Satellite-2... defaults...

Wired PC, current Firefox, satellites upgraded first. Yeah, it's worked fine for me in the past, too. Not this time.

Ok, Might try MS Edge next time.
So is the MR at newer or prior FW version?
I would have done a full factory reset and setup from scratch with the newer FW version loaded and checked before loading any saved backup config from file. Sometimes this can cause problems in newer versions of FW using older configs made from older versions of FW.

I'll keep Edge in mind next time an update comes around. I'm at the newer firmware now. At this point I'm throwing up my hands and will just live with the default satellite names; if the app rename is still broken and there's no option to properly rename from the browser by now, I'm pessimistic about that ever changing.

Wonder why it works for me on my 60 series.
I'll pass this on to NG for review. I think they could make it work.

Thanks. Sorry about the grumbling in my last post. The router brick and having to manually re-label my devices after recovery was exasperating, and the present but non-working satellite rename in the Android app chaps my hide a little. I do appreciate your efforts here.

Fully understand. NG has some oddities in there business for sure.
So I found this hidden process on my Android pad with the NH app.
Press on the "Satellite Name" section seen here with a finger touch while on the Details section of the NH app:
Should bring up the Edit Satellite Name screen:
Press Save when done.
Can you do this as well?

Haha, well, unfortunately, that's exactly the "present but non-working" method in the app that I was talking about. I can enter a new name there, tap save, and then... it just kind of gets ignored. The change isn't applied/doesn't propagate anywhere at all; the satellite name remains default in both the app and router web page.

OK, please submit a bug report while on this page and let NG know.
I'll pass this on as well.
