Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

The MR80 connects fine to the modem.
I can not connect to the MR80 to change any settings from either the Nighthawk Andriod application on my phone or by attempting to connect to 192.168.1.1 from a web browser on my laptop.
The MR80 (and two MS80s) were purchased and installed in March of this year (2023).
Since I can not connect to the MR80, I can't tell you what firmware version is loaded.

Try the factory reset as suggested.
IF you use a mobile device to setup the MR using the NH app, Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Would it be convenient to post a screen shot of the error message?
I tend to agree with FURRYe38 . If the router web server is not responding, the last resort is a Factory Reset and reconfigure from scratch.

Screen shot as requested.
BTW, the router is routing traffic, just can't get to the settings to change it.
Will try a reset in the evening if no better ideas come up.

Ya the WEB UI may have crashed and the MR needs a reset and setup from scratch.
Then check FW version.
