MS60 Satellite with an MR70 Router?

I saw a discussion on this from last year, but didn't see where I could jump in on it.

I currently have a MK72 setup, the MR70 Router & MS70 satellite. I wanted to add another satellite in my garage, bought an MS70 off of eBay & proceeded to set it up in my garage. It took a while to connect, but once it did, it was showing as an MS60 under attached devices. Upon further review, it is indeed an MS60. When standing about a foot away from that satellite, I am getting a signal strength of -65 dBm, while the same distance from the router shows -41 & the other satellite inside the house is showing -65.

I can unplug the power to the MS60 & still get the same -65 reading, making me wonder if it's even working.

Another question I've got is when looking at the connected devices page of the router's webpage, under the 'Connected Netgear' column the MS70 shows Netgear Router & the MS60 shows Netgear Satellite. Does that mean the MS60 is kind of daisy-chained off of the other satellite?

And for my last question (at the moment!), the Ethernet port on the back of the satellite - is that only for connecting to the router or could I connect it to a 5 port switch, as I need that out in the garage, as well, or should I just return the MS60 & get something like the AX1800 WiFi Mesh Extender (EAX20)?

Whats the model# say on the sticker on the unit you got from ebay?

It can connect to another MS for a daisy chain configuration.

Might turn OFF the MS70 and just use the MS from ebay to see what the new MS is doing and if it works. If it turns out the MS from ebay isn't a MS70 or not working, return it and can get a EAX extender.

The sticker on the bottom says MS60.

I've already got it on the way back to the seller & should have my AX1800 by Wednesday.
