Nighthawk Mesh WiFi 6 System Not Delivering Speeds
I have been having trouble with my mesh system. When I run the internet speed on the nighthawk app, it states that is is pulling 607.02Mbps but when I run speed tests on any of the devices close to ...

The Nighthawk app may use the wifi to connect your to the router but the test actually runs between the router and the whatever connects you to Internet. Other tests are between the device and the network. So, if you test with a device that connects to the routers wifi, it is testing the wifi speed. That is never going to be as fast as the speed between the router and the modem.
You don't say what Mesh you have or what these wifi clients are. Nor do we know what modem/gateway/optical network termination (ONT) sits between the router and the Internet.
Another gap in the detail is the firmware version on the router and its satellites.
My son likes to game and those speeds aren't cutting it.
Using wifi for gaming as generally thought to be a bad idea. He should look for a way to connect to the router with a wired link.

have the MR60 Router and 1 MR60 Satellite. it is using firmware version 1.1.7.134. I checked for updates to the firmware and it said it was up to date.
I'm not that techie to understand a lot of the other settings, and I understand I will get less speeds through wifi than I do directly connected to the router, but to go from 600 down to 200 when the only thing actively running is one computer and the TV seems a bit much. My old Orbi didn't drop that much. I ran the speedtest dot net on a laptop, a desktop, a cell phone, and a tablet and they were all pretty much in the 200-220 download speed range.
I don't know how to do much else without direction, unfortunately.

Indeed. You should get better than that.
What modem/gateway/optical network termination (ONT) sites between the MR60 and the Internet?

How do I perform a factory reset on my NETGEAR router? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
The factory reset is more a "witchcraft" move than a technically informed solution, but it does seem to fix problems, especially on the wifi front. It is also the first thing that Netgear support will recommend.

Yeah unfortunately everything in my house is run by wifi lately. I will try the factory reset. Hey that works sometimes 🙂 Thank you!
