Nighthawk MR60 Mesh Router - Spontaneous Blocking of Peer-to-Peer/Local Server Connection over WiFi
I've scoured the web looking for any sort of suggestion on how to fix this problem, but all I can find are posts from 2018 or later with solutions that don't seem to work for me. Here's my issue:...

I’ve done some additional searching through the forums to find a mega-thread with an extremely similar issue that has enlightened me on a few other things to note about my situation:
- On my laptop (connected via WiFi) I am able to access my router’s page perfectly fine
- All of the devices trying to talk to each other are connected to the router — not the satellite. The satellite is up and running, though
- I am currently on the latest firmware (v1.1.7.134) on both the router and the satellite
- I currently have all of my firewalls on all mentioned devices turned off or set to minimal protection
- Factory resetting the router fixed the problem temporarily, but after a few days the problem arose again
- Router logs don’t appear to provide any useful data besides the few *oh so helpful and informative* DoS attacks that Netgear thinks are happening
- I’ve also tried setting my laptop and phone as static IP addresses and trying to ping the phone with the laptop. No dice. Just the usual timeout
Tomorrow I’ll be trying to turn off the satellite to see if that changes anything AND trying out the older firmware that was mentioned in the previous thread. I’ll post whatever I find in case there’s anyone else that’s experiencing the same issue as me.

Following up on a stale post. Unfortunately, there's still no good news. I'm still unable to communicate with other devices on my network over WiFi.
I tried turning off the satellite to see if that made a difference but it's still the same. I had a hunch that the issue might be because a device may be connected to the satellite and one may be connected to the base so I temporarily unplugged the satellite to test and I still got the same result. After plugging the satellite back in and ensuring that all the devices were on the base router, I, yet again, was still unable to communicate to the other devices over WiFi.
I'm at a loss for what else to do. I'm considering switching from Netgear to Ubiquiti due to the lack of help with my issue.
