Nighthawk MR60 Slow Internet Connection
Howdy all! I have the oddest of problems with my MR60 mesh network. On the initial setup of the router I used the app and the router connected at 1gbps as it should. I cannot remember why a reset...

A more normal layout would be modem > MR60> other stuff.
That puts the router in charge of things, unless you have pout it into AP mode.
As to the pfSense, what is it and what is it doing in there?

pfSense is a firewall with IDS/IPS, domain filtering and much more.
It does not matter how the MR60 is connected to the internet. I can take the Ethernet cable that provides the Internet connection and directly connect the MR60, reset it and complete a basic setup again, and the connection speed hovers around 30mbps from 1Gbps service.
I know it's capable of 1gbps connection because it connected at that speed with the initial setup. One time and 30Mbps since. I actually tried the new Nighthawk app last week and still 30Mbps.

Try the MR in AP mode?
What is the brand and model# of the switch in between the firewall device and MR?

I usually run it in AP mode but it still 30mbps for all wireless devices. The devices are somewhat frequency separated between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I can actually run speed tests on all the devices at the same time and they all get 30mbps results.
The main reason for wireless around my house is streaming entertainment and all my streaming devices work just fine all at the same time. This problem has simply baffled the s**t out of me.
8 port Netgear ProSAFE GS108E smart switch.
Also, we do not have a modem. We get an Ethernet cable from the fiber optic CPE into the house (FttH). Plugging this cable directly into the MR60 router doesn't affect the connection of 30mbps. I've tried this several times. I even factory reset the router before plugging the cable into the Internet port and there is no change. This a MK62-100NAS (AX1800) Mesh WiFi 6 system with 1 router (MR60) and 1 satellite (MS60). Plugging the Ethernet cable into the router is bypassing both the switch and firewall. It is a direct unfiltered Internet connection.
