I was wondering if there is a limit to IoT devices connected to the router. I have probably 30 right now and with working from home, router seems to struggle. I don't have any 6g devices so wonderi...

You should be able to handle 30 devices.
Its more about bandwidth.
What speeds do you pay for?
What speeds do you get wired?
Are you making sure to have your low bandwidth devices on the 2.4ghz and the higher on the 5ghz?
Are you using smart connect?
2.4ghz devices are much slower and sensitive to interference. have you noticed if it happens more on devices on the 2.4ghz?
Do wired devices have issues?
Of your 30 devices, how many are streaming video/calls/etc?

Our internet is cable modem and 300mbps. All of the heavy use/streaming devices are on the 5g part of the router. Daily there are two working from home. One on 5g and the other directly wired to the modem. The directly wired is having issues as well. I am using Smart connect on the 5g with both under one SSID. I have even given devices that are high demand higher priority, however the R8500 has a bug where I can't seem to change them anymore.
The most streaming/calls will be the two computers. One wired and one on the 5g. Most of the issue I have seen is on the 5g side.

what actual issue do you get?
Do speeds slow down? And if so to what?
Are you getting an error?
Whats are you actually seeing?
Thats a bit of key as details can help.
What speeds do you get over 5ghz?
What speeds are you getting over wired and 2.4ghz?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?

The issue is mainly in the two WFH. On conf calls a lot of times it breaks up. On the video conf calls I have had to use my cell phone for audio and my computer for video just to be able to have the call. This is on the wireless 5g. On the wired computer, and file downloads are taking a long time.
I have not tried to pull data on what speeds we are getting on each bandwidth. Not sure I actually know how to do that per device. The cable modem provide by Spectrum is a Ubee.
