OpenVPN "Server poll timeout" MK63

Don't have a double nat, already checked that. All my cables are cat 5e or cat 6.
However I did manage to figure out the issue and I think a lot of people will have this now. My ISP is doing a CG-NAT because of which the ports are closed and cannot be opened by me. I figured this out when my routers ip address was different from "what's my ip" on google.
Is there a way to setup a VPN even with a CG-NAT or do I need to get a static IP from my ISP?
