OpenVPN

Hi all

I'm a bit stuck with the set-up of the VPN. I followed the instruction of the Nighthawk MR60 manual, but somehow does not get it to work.

As stated above, i'm using MR60 and 1 MS60. Working on a MacBook Pro (early 2015/OS Catalina).

What i did so far:

- enabled the VPN in the Router (checked for all websites and local network)

- enabled DDNS service (and signed up to no IP)

- entered the login details in the DDNS tab of the router

- downloaded the config files (took my hours to find out, that it won't work with language set as "auto")

- installed tunnelblick

- copied the config file (only the config file) into tunnelblick (it worked, but i had to enriched the config file with "remote-cert-tls server"

- Tunnelblick is now running, but i got the message "waiting for server reply). If i change the wifi to my iphone hotspot, i do not have acces to my network

- importing the generated config files in the iphone OpenVPN app generates an parser Error.

Does anyone have a clue what i'm doing wrong? Is there anything else i have to configure/install?

I'm completly new to this. So i might have missed something.

Thanks in advance for your help

Andy

      Dear Christian

Yes, i'm in contact with the support. I'm slowly coming closer to a result.

What i found out so far is, that the files generated with the Tab "for non Windows" cannot be used for a mac (they don't have the extension .ovpn. This information was not given by the support, but fount in the internet.

As it is still not running now, they suggest that i open port 1194. As i've never done it, i need to find a friend that can help me. hopefully this will solve all problems ;)

      Cheers

      Andy
