My biggest concern about my RBR50 is that is at EOL and no new security updates are availeble anymore.
EOL for that series just means they aren't making them anymore. Security updates have slowed down (significantly) but its still getting them. And there's more to worry about security-wise from the people using the internet at your home than there is from users hacking your router.
If it was me? I'd keep rolling with what you have and wait for wifi 7 devices to cause the Wifi 6/6e devices to drop in price.
If its still maxing out your speeds and performing well, I wouldn't worry to much.

I am also wondering about 2.4 GHZ smart devices. Like garagedoor opener. lights, etc will they reconnect to
the new router if I set it up with same SSID and pw.

They should just switch to the ssid as long as you use the same one.
I'm not sure if it'll improve your performance. The RBR50 system shouldn't have any issues with 350mbps speeds. Its a pretty solid AC system. And it has a dedicated backhaul. The MK93 series doesn't have a dedicated backhaul. It's still plenty fast but will you notice a speed increase? Unsure of that.

It is working great and I love the ORBI but they are a liitle above my budget.
So I am going back and forth between Orbo and Nighthawk,
What would be a good alternative Orbi setup for me ????

Something that can help your current configuration or next system, get the router out of the basement. Basements are not good places for wifi routers. Concrete and steel will inhibit good wifi signal travel. Especially for MESH systems.
For that size of home, a router and 1 to 2 satellites should be enough for good wifi coverage.
