2 Modems in home with 1 account is it possible?
need to set up separate moden for ethernet in a home that already has a Comcast acct and another Comcast modem.
modem needs to have ethernet and a phone, any suggestions if this can be done and what I might do to complete the task at hand?

You'd have to ask your isp if they allow this.
Potential work around? Register an account to you and one to someone else (friend, significant other). I've installed my modem on my account at a neighbors home just to test their signal and it worked without needing any changes.
But the real question is why do you need to do this?
Potentially you could buy a modem with voice that supports having a 2nd public ip address from your provider. MIght require a business account from comcast to run it but it comes down to you'd need to check with your isp.

Thank you. I need to set up a private space in my home to do work with HIPPA. I need a phone and ethernet connection for the computer that is provided and will be a very long way from the modem in the home that is placed next to the television on a diffferent floor. I have GiG speed available from Comcast and it will provide me with 40 upload.
If a 1 GiG Nighthawk with tele will work, to provide ethernet connection and tele, I can create another account with Comcast. I saw some information about MoCa but not sure if that is a viable option.
Thank you, very much

Again, does it have to be a seperate connection for your work? Most places that need that privacy feature simply use a vpn.
If not, they make gig modems with voice. like the cm1150v
