Ad Blocker For xr500

I just recently picked up an xr500, and i currently love it. Everything works great, and as intended. I haven't gotten too complicated, but i'm not sure i need to just yet.

 

Out of curiosity, i've seen posts regarding the adblocker that will be coming sometime in the future as a feature for the xr500, is there any updates on when that might become available? The last posts or information i could find dated back to october of 2021, so about 7 months ago.

    Gaming routers have their own DumaOS operating system that is nothing like the one on Netgear's standard routers.

    In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

    I believe it'll be included in the next firmware update for the XR500, unfortunately I don't have a specific ETA for when that will be but we are currently working on it with NETGEAR.
