At wits end with this router

Some advice thats all over the place
Have you had a comcast tech out to verify your internet service? I would do this.
If you verify your speeds are correct at the modem I would factory reset your router use a new ethernet cable to connect to your modem, do not change any settings, just run the routers basic setup function.
But all in all it sounds like you have a cable connection issue. Could be in the wiring of your house or the box on the side of the house, could be the cable from the street to your home. This is why you need a service tech to come out and find the problem. Talking to a tech over the phone is a waste of time.

Hi - sorry to hear you have a rough start. As JJDredd says, this sounds like a wider connection problem rather than something with the router. Here are some good steps to help us find out:
- If you connect to your modem directly, what speeds do you get?
- If you connect a PC or laptop to your Nighthawk, what speeds do you get when going to Speedtest.net? Are they higher than your Xbox test?
- Is the Xbox connected through wired or wireless?
Don't worry - I'm sure we can help you get this sorted.
