Bandwidth Issue

I'm sure this has come up in other threads however I haven't found a solution to my problem. When runnign a speed test My Nighthwak R6700 router is pulling down close to 300 mbps. This is while it's hardwired directly into the ISP router. If I speed test directly from the ISP router I get close to 600 mbps. I expect a small decrease in bandwidth when adding the Nighthawk however to this level.

    Please about this here:

Also if your ISP modem has a built in router, this can cause problems as well.

    Modem Combo Units:
    Couple of options,
    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the NG router in Router mode.
    3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

    Good Luck.
