DHCP issues - 12 months now
Can someone from Netgear please give me an update on when the next firmware is coming out roughly and confirm it will fix the DHCP problems all XR routers have had for 12-13 months now. netgear

We're going to be building new XR500 firmware with the latest DumaOS features in a couple of weeks, we'll then be testing that internally and giving it over to NETGEAR so I don't really have an ETA for that as it depends when it passes our testing and when it passes their testing.
In this firmware, there's going to be a couple of major fixes on our side that resolve issues with RApps running out of memory. I don't know if this will help with NETGEAR fixing the DHCP issue but it'll probably help. I can't really give an answer as to whether that's going to be fixed or not though as it's an issue they're looking into.

Disabling the DHCP and assign IP adress, submask, DNS, and gateway manually in each device and reserve the IP adresses will resolve the issue. Two months in row today I haven't had internet drop out ever since then. But the downside is that if a friend, or whoever wants to connect to your wi fi or through LAN, he/she has to do it manually in his/her device.
