Gaming Router XR500 Not Connecting to Internet
I have been trying to setup my wifi router for the past 3 hours and nothing has worked. Please give me guidance. The internet light is solid white/flashing white but it still isnt connecting.
Im using the Netgear CM1200 Modem for Xfinity Internet. Idk if that helps any.
Ok, that works. The CM1200 is a modem only. Was looking to see if you had a modem with a built in router already.
Be sure you are connected to LAN port #1 on the CM modem with the XR router. You might power OFF the modem for 30 seconds then back ON. Factory reset the XR router and with a wired PC connected to the XR router, walk thru the setup wizard with a web browser navigated to 191.168.1.1.

- When you did the setup wizard on the router was it able to get a speed test result? Do you know if you require a login (PPPoE) in order to gain a connection - Was the previous router you used just plug and play?
