Gaming router

Hey so I’m newly an adult and dont know much yet. But I was wondering. If I buy the XR500 gaming router, do I need to pay monthly for WiFi or is it. You buy the router. Set it up. And then you have WiFi. Thank you to whoever can answer me this haha.

    No. You don't pay for WiFi. It's your router. You don't rent it or something

    As above, the router is a one time cost that broadcasts WiFi - the only thing you need to continue to pay is your internet provider
