Geo-Filtering

so odd question today but i am wondering if filtering or packets sent to the same host with Geo filter on vs  off to the same host would filtering be faster to that host with Geo-Filter Enabled ?

  • Hi - do you mean if you have a host inside your range, so it's not blocked, will it be slower with the filter on rather than the filter off?

If so, then no.It has no affect on the speed. The Geo-Filter checks the location based on the very first packet, which it does in a matter of micro-seconds. Once it knows the connection is inside your range all packets thereafter are allowed through without any further checks.
