Need to make sure that your buffer bloat tests are done directly to the modem first, if you see same results there, nothing on the router will change that.
If you factory reset the XR router and the anti buffer sliders to 70% and detect only high priority traffic, this is all you really need. I set mine for 99% as I'm the only one gaming at night so I don't need to share bandwidth.

I wouldn't suggest using DSLReports to test bufferbloat as it doesn't saturate your connection enough. I would suggest you follow this guide while doing heavy downloads and changing the Anti-Bufferbloat percentages (using Always) until you find what gives you the lowest/most stable ping. http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping
Also if you're comparing the Geo-Filter and in game ping then they will differ as the in game ping includes things like processing delay etc which is normal. It is best to focus on the Geo-Filter ping as this is the direct ping to the server and what you can influence.

- Andybrenn1989May 16, 2020AspirantYou guys keep guiding me away from the actuall thing I’m asking you. Who can I contact from netgear as I’m seriously not happy with this product It’s not working the thing is no different from any other router and I’m actually so annoyed at this because iv been messing around with it for months now and nothing has got any better I should t have spikes of buffer bloat at 3000 ms or even over 60 ms if this router does what it says it should do and none of you guys seem to have the answer
- Netduma-FraserMay 16, 2020NetDuma PartnerThe issue you're experiencing is high ping/spikes/bufferbloat, the guide I provided you allows you to fine tune QoS to your specific connection, everyone is different so there is no one setting that will work for everyone. By following the advice I gave previously that will allow you to find the level that eliminates local congestion as much as possible and then should resolve your issue. We (Netduma) created the QoS on the router we are best suited to provide support on that. However, if you would like to talk to Netgear you can do so by logging in here and creating a ticket or calling their support number. Please note due to COVID there may be delays to the usual support time: http://support.netgear.com/
- Andybrenn1989May 16, 2020AspirantHi I have downloaded ping plotter before and you guys said my base ping is fine but that’s not the issue it’s my bufferbloat isn’t fine and that’s what I want to get to the bottom of
- Netduma-FraserMay 17, 2020NetDuma PartnerThat's great that the base ping is good but by introducing the downloads that brings bufferbloat which is essentially lag. Then by fine tuning Anti-Bufferbloat to bring down that lag as much as possible you'll find what will make your connection the best it can be.
- Andybrenn1989May 17, 2020AspirantYour not getting what I’m saying no matter what percentage I lower my sliders down to nothing works I have tried every number on the board I’ve lowered it all the way down to ten percent and I’m still getting this crazy readings there’s something not right
- Netduma-FraserMay 17, 2020NetDuma PartnerCould you provide some screenshots of some of the results you are getting please so I can take a look?
- Andybrenn1989May 17, 2020AspirantMy girlfriend is sending you guys over the screenshots from hers as it won’t let me send the screenshots for some reason she will add my name to the email so you guys know who it is but the bufferbloat is crazy high no matter what I lower my sliders too
- Netduma-FraserMay 17, 2020NetDuma PartnerWhere are you sending this to? You could use something like imgur.com and post the links here.
