Hi
I have set up my dm200 model and connected my netgear xr500 to the modem internet is all working but again when I’m running a bufferbloat test my results are coming back and I’m getting spikes at 300m...

Bufferbloat is lag and lag is only caused when your network becomes saturated. That test will not saturate the connection. By doing the suggestions I made with PingPlotter you're simulating a real world scenario of you downloading, playing games, streaming etc and then fine tuning the QoS settings to prevent those services causing you to lag. The trial version reverts to the free version so no need to pay anything. I am just trying to give you the best advice and suggestions to help resolve your issue that I have done before to others in similar situations.

But the test doesn’t test for bufferbloat mate that’s telling me the bufferbloat is high and should not show up iv watched a good few you tubers with the netgear device doing it and every one of there graphs are bang on no movement in the bufferbloat metre and graph looking all the same all in the white lines where mines is shooting up into the red and all different sizes
- Netduma-FraserMay 17, 2020NetDuma PartnerI guarantee that if you follow what I mentioned that QoS will optimally eliminate any bufferbloat that you have. The ping increases you have seen from that test do not reflect what that test has shown you either, it would be unplayable if that was the case.
- Andybrenn1989May 17, 2020AspirantIt’s spikes it’s going from 30 then jumping away up to 550 and all this when I watch other guys do that test they show the graph all matching up with pings under 30 ms top end they all line up and in the white zone no red at all it’s a guy I watch who is really good with networking so I know he knows what he’s talking about and iv read on your forums there’s loads having the same issue this is not any better than my normal router that’s a fact iv played on both and if anything this is causing me the most problems
- Netduma-FraserMay 17, 2020NetDuma PartnerWe (Netduma) created the router software that you are using so if you don't want to follow my advice on the issue that is fine but then I'm not really sure how I can advise you further.
For the Geo-Filter use it to force just the UK servers and that will help lower the ping. I would also suggest you go through our optimal settings guides to see how to use the Geo-Filter and get an idea of how the features work: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646
